Calling all nature lovers and citizen scientists - come celebrate Earth Month with Waller Creek Conservancy! This April, during the international City Nature Challenge, team up with The Nature Conservancy and the Waller Creek Conservancy for a “bioblitz” at Waller Creek. All ages are invited to come learn about the Waller Creek watershed and identify plants and animals in the area using iNaturalist, an app that allows everyday citizens to record what they see in nature and interact with other nature lovers.
Over 500 species have been observed by citizen scientists in the Waller Creek watershed. This is the perfect opportunity for you to get a firsthand look at the nature that exists all around us, even in a highly urbanized area like Austin. By participating in the City Nature Challenge, you can learn more about local nature and make our city better - for you and other species. We hope to see you there!
