New Monuments for New Cities: Public Art Exhibition & Programs

Waller Creek Conservancy is proud to present New Monuments for New Cities, the inaugural joint art initiative of the High Line Network. The public art exhibition takes an important look at the role monuments have played in shaping cities and how they successfully speak to or, in some cases, misrepresent the people who live there. The exhibition will be on view at Waller Creek (12th & Red River) from March 2 through May 31, 2019. Waller Creek Conservancy will host a variety of free public programs in conjunction with the exhibition. All events and programs will take place at Symphony Square (1111 Red River Street).

2019 Pop-Up Picnic: April 6

If you've attended the Waller Creek Pop-Up Picnic, you know exactly the potential of the new Waller Creek Park project. Come by car, bus, bike, or on foot, spread your blanket, and enjoy picnic baskets prepared by some of Austin’s best restaurants. Or, bring your own basket and enjoy Palm Park while listening to great music, catching up with your friends, and watching the sun drop behind the city skyline. Save the date, April 6th in Palm Park!
